Steven E. Snyder

1961 - 2018

Steven E. Snyder 56, of Shultz Rd. Danville, passed away on March 28, 2018 at his home.  Born in Lewisburg on October 26, 1961, he was the son of the late Fred E. and Ruth (Trate) Snyder.  He was married on December 3, 1983 to the former Joy Colgain who survives.

 

Steve was a 1979 graduate of Milton High School and worked as a self-employed flooring installer.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and he liked to ride motorcycles and snowmobiles.  Steve was a fan of the Steelers and the Yankees.  He was a history buff and enjoyed trips to Gettysburg. Steve was a great husband, father, and grandfather and he loved spending time with his family and friends.

 

He is survived by his wife; a son, Nathan E. Snyder of Danville; a daughter, Alecia M. Snyder of Danville; a granddaughter Kiera Snyder; his mother in law, JoAnn Kita and husband John of Hughesville; two nephews, Kenny and Billy Snyder; a niece, Michelle Kratzer and his sister in law, Roxanne Snyder.

 

Steve was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth E. Snyder.

 

A celebration of Steve’s life will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4 at Wynding Brook Golf Club, 201 Harveys Lane, Milton, PA.  Burial will be held privately.

Dear Joy and family,I was so sad to hear about Steve.I have so many wonderful memories of all of us hanging out at your house in Milton.You and Steve always made me feel like family whenever we hung out.I
just wish I would have kept in touch over the years.It seems like yesterday when I was pregnant with Seth and you were a bridesmaid in my 1st wedding.I can't believe it's been 29 years ago!I have pictures of everyone at our pig roasts and other places.I hope to see you again Joy.
