Robert J. Jansen

Robert J. Jansen, 72, of Milton passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Plainfield, NJ on June 22, 1945, he was the son of the late Everett and Caroline (Hummel) Jansen.  He was married to the former Donna Sabatura.  His death breaks a marital union of 44 years.

Bob was a graduate of North Plainfield High School in New Jersey and had served in the USMC during the Vietnam War.  He had worked for Con Agra in Milton retiring in 2001.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 71, the VFW Post 1665 and the Loyal Order of Moose all of Milton.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild, hunting, fishing, cooking and he loved history.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons Brian DeBaro and his wife Angela of Milton, Jeffrey DeBaro of Milton and Robert Jansen Jr. of Lancaster; four grandchildren Oceanna DeBaro, Alexa DeBaro, Ashley DeBaro and Alec DeBaro; and a great granddaughter Steeleigh Hann.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter Kimberly Jansen.

Friends and relatives will be received on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Shaw Funeral Home 400 N. Front St. Milton.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 1:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church 8th and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg with the Rev Mark Wilke officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow in Milton Cemetery.

Bob will be remembered fondly by all-he was a caring cousin and a wonderful Godfather, he will be sadly missed. We thank him for his service to our country and pray that his memory will be a shining light for all.
